Clean Shores passes one tonne of waste removed
October's clean-up pushed our total past 1,200 kg — mostly plastic bottles and nets.
Thirty-two volunteers turned out on 10 October, collecting 96 kg of waste from the eastern beach and harbour. That brings the programme total to 1,240 kg since 2021.
Plastic bottles, fishing line and old nets made up most of the haul. Thank you to everyone who came — see you on 7 November.
